Wright Runstad and Company, based in Seattle, WA, developed, acquired, managed and leased commercial office buildings. Howard S. Wright, a general contractor and developer and H. Jon Runstad cofounded the real estate development firm in 1972. H. Jon Runstad held the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Wright Runstad and Company between 1972 and 2019 and as Chairman of the Board from 1972 until his death in 2023. The firm was very active in the real estate development of Downtown Seattle, as well as other cities on the West Coast, including Bellevue, WA. In Seattle, the firm developed the Washington Mutual Tower (1201 3rd Avenue Building), the First Interstate Building, and the two Rainier Square Towers. Wright Runstad also was active in building some of the first skyscrapers comprising the skyline of Downtown Bellevue, WA.
