Two office buildings--one thirteen stories the other three-- housed the Anchorage offices of the petroleum company Sohio, formerly the Standard Oil Company of Ohio. These two structures, both covered in granite and exposed concrete aggregate, contained 313,000 square feet of space and were connected by a 40 x 120 foot-long atrium. The Saint Louis-based firm HOK designed the Sohio Alaska Headquarters with CCC Architects, Incorporated.
