His father was William F. Heath, a carpenter, (born c. 1834 in NY) his mother, Louisa M. Heath (born c. 1836 in NY); according to the US Census of 1910, Frederick Heath's parents both came from VT; the 1920 and 1930 US Censuses indicated that both had come from NY.
In 1870, his siblings included Charles E. Heath (born c. 1857 in WI) and Sydney (born c. 1859 in WI); according to Tacoma architect and historian, Jeffrey Ryan, Sydney Heath worked as an architect, and his example may have inspired Frederick to get into that line of work.
Spouse
Frederick Heath married Mabel L. Fallensbee in 1885; she was born c. 1863 in WI, and died 06/1910; her father was from OH and mother, NY, according to the US Census of 1910.

Frederick H. and Mabel L. Heath had 3 children: Zelma N.
