Notes:
"This preliminary drawing shows a proposed elevation and plan for Paradise Inn. The Rainier National Park Company, formed by a group of local businessmen, financed construction of Paradise Inn in 1916. The Tacoma architectural firm of Heath, Gove, and Bell was selected to design a grand hotel as the central feature in a larger development of bungalow tents, a ski lift, and guide house for the company's mountaineering service. Construction began in the summer of 1916, and the inn opened in July 1917."
