His draft registration card of 09/04/1946 indicated that, at age 18, Gunsul was 6-feet-and-1/2-inches tall and weighed 180 pounds. He was Caucasian, with blue eyes, brown hair and a ruddy complexion. The draft card indicated that he had "mastoid scars, both ears."
