The Tower Building on the Colby Campus of the Providence Regional Medical Center consisted of twin towers, each 12 stories high, 10 of which were designed to be above grade. This facility was to contain 368 beds and cost $500 million. Costs for an adjacent parking garage, medical technology, and other campus renovations pushed the entire investment to $600 million. Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Architects, LLP, of Portland, OR, and Seattle, WA, designed the building; M.A. Mortenson served as the General Contractor.
