He likely resided in Casablanca, Morocco, in 1955, as he flew there from New York at the beginning of the year. His obituary in the Seattle Times stated: "Blaine was the oldest of three children and spent his earliest years living in Casablanca, Morocco; Athens, Greece; Phoenix, AZ; and Honolulu, Hawaii, as the family followed his fathers' career in the Air Force Civil Service."
