The Seattle architectural firm, Naramore, Bain, Brady and Johanson (NBBJ), designed this school within the Bellevue School system; Clyde Hill, WA, an affluent enclave, incorporated as an independent city in 03/31/1953, but remained part of the Bellevue Public School District. In 2012, Clyde Hill had only two public schools, this one and the Chinook Middle School.
The Clyde Hill Elementary School was awarded a Merit Award by the American Institute of Architects (AIA), 1953; this was the first of many national AIA awards that NBBJ would win. Tel: 425-456-5000.
