Relocation

Alexander Curlett was a younger brother of the better known architect William Curlett (1846-1914). Alexander Curlett appeared in San Francisco in about 1874 and disappeared from local records by about 1876. As his brother was born in Warrenpoint, County Down, Northern Ireland, it may be assumed that Alexander came from that city or its vicinity, as well.

A death notice for Alexander Curlett appeared in the Belfast Newsletter on 05/22/1879: "Curlett--May 21, at his father's residence, Ballyrussell, Warrenpoint, Mr. Alexander Curlett, aged 23 years. His remains will be removed for interment in Clonallon, to-morrow (Friday) afternoon, at three o'clock." (See Belfast Newsletter, Year CXLI, No. 18.878, 05/22/1879, p. 1.)
