Nellie and Harry had 3 children, one of whom had died by 1910; besides Floyd, Stanley R. Stanbery was two years younger and also had been born in IA.

He married Leone R. Stanbery c. 1919; (her name was written as "Leone" in the 1920 U.S. Census, "Leona" in the 1930 U.S. Census; the former appears correct.) She was born in MI c. 1899; her parents both came from NY. Balch married her when he was 27 and she was 16.
