American Avenue's name was changed to Long Beach Boulevard in the 1950s;

L.T. Edwards owned the theatre and store building at 525 American Avenue in Long Beach, CA, and engaged structural engineer, Floyd E. Stanbery, to prepare its plans; cost was set at an inexpensive $45,000; W.J. Burgin acted as contractor; the theatre seated 1100 people and was composed of reinforced concrete construction in response to the devastating earthquake that struck Long Beach at 5:55 AM, 3/10/1933.

Demolished to make way for a mall that itself was unsuccessful;
