Born in Canada, Ridgway lived in that country until age 23. He left Canada at Sarnia, ON, and entered the US at Port Huron, MI, in 01/1866. Ridgway and his wife were living in Pasadena, CA, in 1880. In that year, the U.S. Census indicated his profession as "carpenter."

In 1910-1911, Ridgway and his wife, Mary, resided at 245 3rd Avenue in Upland, CA. Harry Ridgway was married to Caroline Ridgway, (born c. 1843 in Peru). Her parents were from France and Germany.

Biographical Notes

Ridgway's name was periodically spelled,'Ridgeway"; the 1880 U.S. Census indicated that his name was spelled "Ridgway."

On 01/15/1885, Harry Ridgway and C.B. Ripley were elected Officers of the Masonic Lodge in Pasadena, CA.

At age 62, Ridgway filed a declaration of his intention to be naturalized on 08/11/1906 in Los Angeles Superior Court.
