Notes:
"The church history began back on Orange Avenue near downtown Los Altos. This was the first church built in the town. The town was founded in 1906. There were no churches. On Palm Sunday, 1913, a small group of Episcopalians met for service in a vacant building. On August 19, 1913, a meeting was held to organize the Christ Church Mission. Later, Sunday services were held in the Shoup building at Main and Second Streets, until the church was built. The rental fee for the use of the building was $7.50 per month. Christ Episcopal Church at 461 Orange Avenue was completed and paid for, and the first service held on August 23, 1914, at 3:00 P.M."
