This firm succeeded the partnership of Howard, Train and Williams, formed in 1901. Train and Williams, also based in Los Angeles, was in operation by 1903. In 1903, Train and Williams maintained their office in Room #19 of the Rindge Building, 254 South Broadway. (See Los Angeles Classified Business Directory, 1903, p. 1705.)
In 1910, the Bakersfield Californian reported that Train and Williams opened a branch office in Taft, CA, while it designed a hotel for J.W. Jamieson. (See $45,000 Hotel for Taft Is Being Planned, Bakersfield Californian, vol XXI, no. 162, 02/07/1910, p. 1.)
