H.H. Hinds served as the Building Contractor for the Strand Theatre; he submitted a bid of approximately $26,000 to owner Frank Dale for the erection of this brick, two-story, mixed-use theatre/retail/office building.

C.L. Langley was the owner in 1924; his exhibition chain was known as West Coast-Langley Theatres; the theatre's management changed in 10/1936;

Langley had the Strand redesigned in 1924 to have a "Spanish decor";
