Brown and Bradbeer, Architects, operated in Los Angeles,CA for a short time, between 1888 and 1890. It is known that the two were working on a one-story school house in La Liebre, Los Angeles County, CA, in 10/1889. (See "Notice to Contractors," Los Angeles Herald, vol. 33, no. 2, 10/13/1889, p. 5.) As of 01/01/1890, the firm was listed as still being together in an article summarizing built work in Los Angeles of 1889, but was no longer listed in the Los Angeles, California, County Directory, 1890, probably compiled during the months of 02-03/1890. (See "New Buildings," Los Angeles Herald, vol. 33, no. 82, 01/01/1890, p. 16 and Los Angeles, California, County Directory, 1890, p. 330.)

According to a Los Angeles Herald news story of 01/01/1890, Brown and Bradbeer designed 33 buildings during 1889, resulting in $116,429 worth of work. (See "New Buildings," Los Angeles Herald, vol. 33, no. 82, 01/01/1890, p. 16.)
