The Milwaukee Building Company filed as a California corporation on 10/22/1906; it began building houses primarily, but grew into a large-scale full-service design-build company. It became known as "Meyer and Holler, Architects, Engineers and Builders" on 12/05/1923. The Milwaukee Building Company also attracted many commissions for movie theatres that were sprouting up widely in Southern California during the 1900s-1920s.
