Building History

The Los Angeles Times said of the George W. Adams House in 1916: “Construction has just been started on a twelve-room house of English design for George W. Adams in Pellissier Square. The place will occupy a large site at No. 665 South Hobart boulevard. It was planned and is being built by the Milwaukee Building Company. The walls will be brick on the first story and plastered, with a half timber effect above. The Tudor entrance will be one of the attractive features. (See “With the Builders: Fine Homes for West End Sites,” Los Angeles Times, 09/10/1916, Real Estate and Development Section, Section V, p. 1.)
