Andrew C.P. Willatzen (1876-1974) moved from Chicago, IL, to Seattle, WA, in 1907, and set up an independent practice. He worked on his own for two years, before he was joined by another Chicago transplant, Francis Barry Byrne (1883-1967), a notable Prairie School architect. They worked together for about four years, 1909-1913.
