Based in Seattle, WA, but active throughout the Pacific Northwest as a mechanical construction and engineering firm. The firm developed from the W.E. Beggs Company, founded in 1934; when William Beggs died, two executives from the old firm--Merrill McKinstry and George Allen--reformed as McKinstry Company, 06/1960. Early on, McKinstry specialized in plumbing and piping services, but has since branched out into other areas of mechanical contracting, namely the installation of sheet metal (HVAC), fire protection equipment and temperature controls.
