Shannon and Wilson, Incorporated, focused on building foundation and earthen dam design, geotechnical consulting, and earthquake engineering. In 1984, the Engineering News-Recordindicated that Shannon and Wilson was the sixth largest architectural/engineering firm in WA, and the 206th largest in the nation, with revenues between $7 million and $9.9 million. Richard Reis was hired in 01/2009 as a Vice-President. In 2014, Gerard Buechel served as the President and Seattle Office Manager of Shannon and Wilson. The company's web stated: "The Seattle office has a staff of 100 engineers, geologists, hydrogeologists, and environmental specialists. Our core services are geotechnical engineering, environmental and hazardous waste management, natural resources, geology, hydrogeology, earthquake engineering, instrumentation, underground, and railroad consulting. We serve a wide range of clients including the federal government, city and state agencies, construction contractors, private industry, railroads, architects, and engineers."
