A note in the Seattle Times in late 1969 indicated that the firm had been purchased by a multinational architecture and engineering company: "Carlson, Eley, Grevstad, Seattle architect, has become a division of Pacific Architects and Engineers, Incorporated, with offices in Los Angeles, Tokyo, Bangkok, Manila, Saigon, Seoul, Athens and Washington, D.C.
