Firm Notes

Burnham's firm was headquartered in Chicago, but operated branch offices elsewhere at various times. A San Francisco office opened just after the earthquake and fire of 04/18/1906, under the direction of the San Francisco architect, WIllis J. Polk. This office was headed by Polk until 07/1910.

In 1907, Burnham's San Francisco office operated in the Merchants Exchange Building. (See the Crocker-Langley San Francisco City Directory, 1907, p. 1742.)
