Buff and Hensman maintained its headquarters in Los Angeles, CA; it was succeeded by the firm of Buff, Straub and Hensman in 1957. The Historic Places LA website, compiled by the City of Los Angeles, said of Buff and Hensman: ""Pasadena architect Conrad Buff III, FAIA was the son of noted landscape painter Conrad Buff II. Influenced by his father’s desire to be an architect, Buff attended the USC School of Architecture where he met Donald C. Hensman. Buff and Hensman would remain partners for the duration of their professional careers. Catering to a wealthy clientele drawn from the world of film and entertainment, Buff and his firms won 30 American Institute of Architects awards and dozens of other prizes, particularly for their residential work."
