The Wells Fargo Bank Building in Downtown San Diego, CA, was one of several large office buildings erected during 1982; these office towers had markedly more space than those erected previously, underscoring the growth of the city's economy. Developed by the Koll Company, the Wells Fargo and Company's San Diego Headquarters rose 23 stories and contained 471,976 square feet. The Orange County-based real estate development company, The Irvine Company, bought Wells Fargo Plaza for $148 Million in 11/2004.
