The two-story Colonial Revival Dovey Residence featured a cross-gabled roof and wood siding; on the front facade, a central gable projected slightly in the center, within which stood a trabeated front door. A Palladian window lit one gable end in the attic.
An awkward projecting roof covering the main entry was added later.
