The congregation purchased a 100x 155-foot parcel at the southwest corner of Twelfth Street and Flower Street from J.D. Westerfeldt in 08/1903. (The church also swapped a lot it owned to Westerfeldt at the southeast corner of Figueroa Street and 19th Street.) It added a 50x 155-foot lot purchased to the south on Flower Street from Dr. Walter Lindley. Theodore A. Eisen designed this Gothic Revival Church for the congregation to cost between $75,000-$100,000.
