The school was renamed for Ray Wiltsey, a teacher, assistant principal, principal, director of personnel, assistant superintendent and for one year, (1985-1986), superintendent, of the Ontario-Montclair School District. He spent from 1952-1986 working in the system, and in honor of his service, the Imperial High School was renamed Ray Wiltsey School on 02/05/1998.
