Building History
The Seattle architecture firm Weber + Thompson collaborated with Collins-Woerman Architects on 2200 Westlake Tower, Seattle, WA. Construction began in 08/2004. Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen's Vulcan Incorporated and Milliken Urban Limited Partnership developed this 550,000-square-foot mixed-use development, which featured a Pan-Pacific Hotel, a 47,000-square-foot Whole Foods Grocery Store, and 5.700-square-foot Bank of America branch when it opened c. August 2006. In 11/2006, Vulcan Real Estate announced its intention of building a 300,000 square foot mixed use development across the street at 2201 Westlake Avenue North.
