Building History

Paul Hayden Kirk (1914-1995) designed this house for his sister, Marjorie Kirk Fleming (1922-1997) and her husband, Donald. It was constructed between 01/1951 and 07/1951. The Flemings married in 1941.

Building Notes

The Fleming House was awarded an Honor Award from the Washington Chapter of the American Institute of Architects in 1953;

Alteration

The Flemings enlarged their house twice, first in 1965 and again in 1975.
