A house designed for a location in the Sacramento Valley, north of Chico, CA; the area suffered from extremes of hot and cold, as well as insects; Corbett designed a house that could be either highly ventilated or highly enclosed; the architect included screening to protect the owner from mosquitoes; the Moritz Thomsen House won an Award of Merit from the American Institute of Architects in 1952.
