Building History

A notice to contractors soliciting bids for the construction of the M.P. Church (presumably "Methodist Protestant") designed by Elmer H. Fisher for a site in Downtown Seattle appeared in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer on 10/23/1889. It read: "Bids will be received at my office until Thursday noon, October 24, for the erection of the M.P. church building, corner Third and Pine streets; the right is reserved to reject any and all bids. Fisher, architect. (See “Notice to Contractors,” Seattle Post-Intelligencer, 10/23/1889, p. 3.)
