Building History
Builders Robinson and Stewart commissioned architect Paul Hayden Kirk to design a group of six houses in the Sherwood Forest Housing Tract in Bellevue. A brief 1957 article in the Seattle Times stated of their collaboration: "Two young builders, Dick Robinson and Bob Stewart, operating under the firm name of Robinson & Stewart, are constructing six homes in Sherwood Forest, all designed by Paul Kirk, Seattle architect. Seventeen builders are engaged there. Sherwood Forest is on the Bellevue-Redmond Highway. The homes are priced from $16,800 to $17,950, with G.I., F.H.A. or conventional financing available, according to John L. Scott, Realtor, exclusive agent."
