Building Notes
An article describing sales at Riviera Beach Estates published in the Los Angeles Times stated: “Sales are spiraling at Riviera Beach Estates in the Palos Verdes area, spurred by the ocean view and the proximity of a State supervised beach and playground according to [an] announcement of that development. It is adjacent to Palos Verdes and conveniently near churches, schools and shopping centers. Announced as available for just $2650 down, the three and four-bedroom homes feature large rock fireplaces, covered patios, built-in oven and range, forced-air heat, hardwood floors and wood paneling. Architect Charles E. Du Bois was architect for Riviera Beach Estates. Facing a wide vista of sea, palisades and city, the homes offer sliding glass doors, disposals, exhaust fans, breakfast dining areas, tile stall showers, natural finish cabinets, insulated ceilings and all utilities.” (See "View Location Spur to Sales," Los Angeles Times, 11/20/1955, part V, p. 26.)
