Point Loma High School covered a 13.5 acre parcel, located in the Loma Portal neighborhood of San Diego, CA. In 2006, the school had the third largest enrollment in the San Diego Unified School System and consisted of 12 main buildings. Tel: (619)223-3121 (2006).

A Study Hall and Auditorium were added to the high school in 1928 by I.E. Loveless. Extensive renovations occurred in 1976. In 1994, a science building was added. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, the high school became well known among skateboarders for the "Leap of Faith," a fifteen-foot drop over a handrail accomplished by a Jamie Thomas c. 1997. The building was retrofitted to make the leap impossible.
