The Selling Building occupied 600-610 SW Alder Street; it had an alternate street address of 601-623 SW 6th Avenue. It stood on the southwest corner of Alder Street and 6th Avenue.

Overview

The Portland architectural firm of Doyle and Patterson designed this office building for the firm of Ben Selling and Associates.

Building Notes

In 1916, the architect Earl A. Roberts (1886-1939) leased Room #416 of the Selling Building. (See Polk's Portland, Oregon, City Directory, 1916, p. 1027.) Roberts would later move to Seattle, WA, and work there between about 1917 and 1939.
