Overview

This 18-story tower, located near the Portland Art Museum and Portland State University, contained 223 units when it opened in 2006, a boom period for condominium construction in Downtown Portland, OR. The building was built for an investment entity called "Eliot Tower LLC."

Building History

Two leading Portland architectural firms designed the Eliot Tower; Zimmer Gunsul Frasca (ZGF) served as the lead designer on the project, working with Ankrom Moisan Architects, Incorporated, which acted as the architect for the interiors. Ankrom Moisan worked with Soderberg Laman Designers, as interiors coordinators. Other members of the design and construction team included KPFF Consulting Engineers, structural consultants, and the Howard S. Wright Construction Company, the general contractor. (See Eliot Tower.com, "It Takes a Team," accessed 06/01/2018.)

Building Notes

According to the web site of the Eliot's architect, Ankrom Moisan Architects, Incorporated, "The Eliot was awarded LEED ND (Neighborhood Development) Silver, the first LEED ND project in the country." (See Ankrom Moisan.com, "Eliot Tower," accessed 06/01/2018.)
