Withey and Davis, a Los Angeles architectural firm, designed a branch bank for the Farmers and Merchants Bank of Santa Paula in the nearby town of Saticoy in 1911-1912. Two years later, they produced plans for a one-story bank in Santa Paula to be built of reinforced concrete. (See Southwest Contractor and Manufacturer, 07/05/1913, p. 12, col. 2.)
