Kanner and Mayer, Architects, designed this round restaurant covered by an umbrella-like roof. Its form, designed to catch the eye of passing motorists, corresponded to other Googie restaurants designed by such architects as John Lautner (1911-1994) and Armet and Davis. Googie buildings also demonstrated broad areas of glass to enable passers-by to view intriguing interior activities.
