San Francisco architect Abraham Appleton (1887-1981) resided in the residence at 2539 Larking Street c. 1955.
Architect's own house. This residence, stucco-faced on its front facade, had two entrances on its first floor, with a garage in the center. Upper floor windows had segmental arched tops, with detailing derived from Parisian examples. In 2012, the third floor had two balconies projecting out on the street facade. The duplex occupied a 2,647-acre lot, and contained 5,140 square feet in two units.
