NE corner of 1st St. E and E Napa St.

Frederick Duhring, an early settler in Sonoma, CA, erected this brick mercantile building to replace his earlier abobe general store built in the early 1850s. It occupied the prominent NE corner of 1st Street East and East Napa Street.

Demolished; a serious fire destroyed the Duhring Building #2 on 09/19/1990. Astonishingly, the Duhring Building #2 was rebuilt, brick-by-brick, by member of the Sonoma League for Historic Preservation after this fire.
