Overview

After 2002, the Portland Hilton consisted of two separate buildings, a Main Building, completed in 1963, and what was called the "Executive Tower," finished in 2002. The Executive Tower was renamed the Duniway Hotel in 2017.

Building History

Construction began on this major Hilton outlet in 1961 and was completed two years later. A citywide strike by carpenters slowed the completion date somewhat, but the hotel topped out in 08/1962. A grand dedication ceremony drew Hilton Hotels founder Conrad Hilton (1887-1979), Senator Mark Hatfield (1922-2011) and Portland Mayor Terry D. Schrunk (1913-1975).

Building Notes

The Tower is 23 stories tall.
