Pasadena architect Reginald D. Johnson (1882-1952) produced the plan for this celebrated small house, designed for a lawyer and his heiress wife from Winnetka, IL. Lockwood De Forest III worked with the Dickinsons as their landscape architect (1896-1949). (this information about De Forest was obtained in conversation with Prof. David Streatfield on 04/18/2017.)
Building Notes
The Dickinson House was awarded the Gold Medal in the National 1930 Small House Competition conducted by Better Homes in America.
