Opened on 02/04/1967, the 630-seat Camelot Theatre was equipped with a Dimension-150 screen fabricated in England; it featured a mezzanine art gallery; the Camelot was built for Metropolitan Theatres chain; the same chain closed the venue on 01/15/1992, due to low attendance and high operating costs. Ric and Rozene Supple, owners of RR Broadcasting, that operated the KPSI-AM and KDES-FM radio stations, bought the Camelot in 11/1999, and renamed it the "Festival Of Arts Theatres." The name reverted back to the Camelot on 02/01/2002.

Originall y a single-screen venue, the Camelot was twinned in the early 1970s; the second auditorium was itself halved in the late 1970s to seat 202 and 214 guests. Most recently, the triplex was renovated in 1999. The largest auditorium seated 548, the smallest 152. The large theatre can be used for live theatrical productions, while the smallest space can be used for lectures.
