"George F. Ashley, a member of the senior class of the University of California, has been elected president of the new architectural association of the university, which was organized to promote the study of architecture. More than twenty-five students of the college of architecture, of which Prof. John Galen Howard is the head, have joined the society. The meetings will be held semi-monthly. When the architectural building is enlarged the association will arrange for lectures by prominent artists and engineers for the benefit of study."
