Partner, Bordwell and Leonard, Architects, San Francisco, CA, c. 1868. The San Francisco, California, City Directory, 1868, (p. 608), indicated that Bordwell and Leonard had an office at 432 Montgomery Street. Bordwell announced his move to a new office above Donohoe and Kelly's Bank at 432 Montgomery in 05/1868. Bordwell had moved to 432 Montgomery Street by 1869. (SeeSan Francisco City Directory, 1869, p. 676.) In 1883, Bordwell had an office located at 318 Pine Street, the same street address as that of the better-known firms of Seth Babson and Percy and Hamilton. Relocation

Bordwell lived in San Francisco in 1861 according to the city directory of that year, but it did not list a home address other than that of his office at 224 Montgomery Street.
