Overview

On 02/18/1874, the Board of Supervisors of the City and County of San Francisco approved Resolution #9325, appointing "...George Bordwell, Architect, to superintend the construction of the bridge and flight of stairs over the crossing of Harrison and Second streets, in the manner contemplated in the Act entitled an Act to authorize the Board of Supervisors...to modify the grades of certain streets, approved March thiritieth, eighteen hundred and sixty-eight." The work was completed and he was to have been paid a fixed sum of 4885.65. (See The Statutes of California Passed at the Twentieth Session of the Legislature, 1873-1874, [Sacramento: G.H.
