Kaufmann worked in Vancouver, BC, Canada, in his own architectural practice in 1911-1912. He created a side partnership in Kamloops, BC, Canada with E. Phillips during 1912-1913. Apparently, Kaufmann maintained an interest in his Vancouver operations through 1920, when he became a Registered Architect in the State of CA.
