The Seatle architectural firm of Arai Jackson Ellison Murakami, Architects + Planners, LLP was organized in 1999, and was known previously as "Arai Jackson Architects + Planners." The Seattle Post-Intelligencer said of its reorganization in 1999: "Arai/Jackson Architects and Planners in Seattle has promoted Bruce Ellison, Rich Murakami, Frank Silkwood and Dave Tomber to principal." The firm made personnel adjustments in 03/2004, noted by the Seattle Post-Intelligencer: "Arai Jackson Ellison Murakami promoted Bruce Ellison, Rich Murakami and Frank Silkwood as partners, Ben Dayot and Mark Spitzer as principals, and Ben Pongprot, associate.” (See “People on the Mover: Design," Seattle Post-Intelligencer, 03/22/2004, Seattle Post-Intelligencer, p.
