The architectural firm, Arai Jackson Ellison Murakami designed the Veil Restaurant interior c. 2005, and the restaurant opened in mid-11/2005. The restaurant closed in late 2008 and may have reopened briefly in 2009, but then closed permanently.

Building History

The tandem of chef Shannon Galusha and managing partner Erik Lindstrom opened this restaurant that contained a dining room seating 50, and a bar accommodating 45. Opening night was 11/11/2005. Galusha had worked previously at Seattle's 727 Pine, and the French Laundry restaurants. (See Nancy Leson, Seattle Times.com "Taste of the Town: New restaurants, upscale billiards and an Irish pub," published 10/25/2006, accessed 09/25/2017.) He would later work at Cal’s Classic American restaurant at Kent Station, Kent, WA, c. 2011.
